An architect and a civil engineer. A builder and a realtor. An interior designer and a cabinet shop. Trade partners serve the same clients at next-door stages of a project, and send each other work.

Questions
Will I be matched with a competitor?
Not one in your market. If you pick "Same field, different market", you answer where you work and your main client, and two people in the same occupation, industry, area and client base are never matched.
How are referrals tracked?
After a meetup, either of you can log "I introduced you to someone" or "I sent you a lead", and the other confirms. It counts toward give-and-get balance. No chat needed.
Is it free?
Yes. Teaming up on a bigger project is free too.
