Project, contract and freelance work
Find the right sub, freelancer or firm. Or the right project.
Post the work: scope, must-have skills and tools, dates, licenses, insurance and bonding. We match you with one doer at a time who can take it on, at a rate close to yours. You meet on site, over the plans or for a coffee before anyone commits.

Project work, side by side

How it's different
Three sides
Hire for a project, take on projects, or team up on a bigger one. Teaming up is free and runs as networking.
Matched on what counts
Scope, capacity, money and terms, track record and working style. Required licenses, insurance and bonding are checked before you see a card.
Rates close before you meet
The contract value is never shown. It's matched against the doer's rate, so nobody wastes a site walk on a number that was never going to work.
The project fee
Flat, by the contract value you post. Charged only when the work is awarded and the other side confirms.
| Item | Fee, paid by the hiring side |
|---|---|
| $2,500 to $9,999 | $99 |
| $10,000 to $49,999 | $249 |
| $50,000 to $249,999 | $499 |
| $250,000 to $999,999 | $999 |
| $1 million and up | $1,999 |
Free for repeat projects between the same two parties. Refunded if the project is cancelled before work starts. Doers never pay.
How project matching works
Post the project
Role family, skills and tools with how much each matters, contract value, dates, project type and size, location, and any licenses, insurance or bonding the work needs.
See one doer at a time
Each listing has one undecided doer at a time. Doers can have several listings in front of them.
Meet before you commit
A site walk, a plan review or a coffee, with a short activity. The hiring side covers the coffee.
Award and complete
Either side reports "Awarded" and the other confirms. At completion both sides record how it went.

Questions
What does it cost?
The hiring side pays a flat fee when the work is awarded and the other side confirms it: $99 for $2,500 to $9,999, $249 for $10,000 to $49,999, $499 for $50,000 to $249,999, $999 for $250,000 to $999,999, $1,999 for $1 million and up. Doers pay nothing. Repeat projects between the same two parties are free.
Is the contract value shown to the other side?
Never. It's matched against the doer's rate the way pay is matched in hiring, so you only meet people whose rates are close.
What's the smallest project?
$2,500 in contract value. Smaller jobs fit better as a peer or trade-partner match, which is free.
Can a firm take projects, not just individuals?
Yes. A firm fills in a firm questionnaire once, with an add-on for its field. In construction that covers safety record, bonding, retainage and site practices.
The right sub is probably ten minutes away.
Post your first project for free. You pay only when it's awarded.
