How it works in tech
Skills over degrees
A degree is never scored and stays hidden until after you've met. The skills checklist starts from your role, you set the depth for each item, and references confirm it.
No portfolio, no take-home
Hiring doesn't ask for a GitHub link, a portfolio or a take-home test. One short puzzle at the table, then a conversation about real work. Work samples are only for project work, and optional there.
Remote and hybrid, handled
Pick on-site, hybrid or remote. Remote roles show no commute; hybrid shows your rush-hour drive on office days. Only you see it.
In person first
Hiring and networking start with an in-person meetup in your metro. A timed 30-minute video meetup for remote-capable project work is planned, for when both sides are ID-verified.
Peers and co-founders
A data analyst and a developer at a similar stage, or a founder looking for a technical partner. Peers one field over are favored on purpose.
Contract and freelance
Contract is a schedule choice for jobs, and fixed-scope work of $2,500 and up runs as project work with a flat fee on award.
Roles with detailed checklists
Each starts your skills checklist from O*NET's work activities and tools for the role. Not listed? Pick your occupation anyway; the picker covers every field.

Questions
Is there a coding test?
No. Hiring meetups start with a short puzzle at the table, and nothing is scored. The conversation is about real work.
Do remote roles still meet in person?
Yes. The first hiring meetup is in person, with the manager you'd report to.
Can I keep my search quiet?
Yes. Nobody can browse profiles, and you can block your current company by name.
