How peer matching works
Pick the kind of peer
Same field, neighboring field, any field, an accountability partner, or someone to swap a skill with.
A neighboring field, on purpose
Peers one or two steps away from your occupation are favored over identical ones. Research on weak ties (Granovetter 1973; Rajkumar et al. 2022, Science) found that moderately weak ties carry the most new information and opportunity.
Similar level
Peers are matched at a similar experience level, so nobody ends up mentoring by accident.
Both ways
Peers answer both sides of the managing questions, so you're matched on how you'd actually work together.
Each pays their own
The default for peer meetups. You can change it while planning.
