Construction
Subs and GCs, matched before the first site walk.
A sub that can take the scope, has the license and the coverage, and has a record of invoicing accurately. A GC with a record of paying on time. One match at a time, met on site.

What's checked
Licenses
Electricians, plumbers, HVAC and other licensed trades commit with the license and its number. In Texas, verification checks the state boards (TDLR, the plumbing board and others).
Insurance and bonding
The listing sets each on five levels. Required ones are checked before a card appears.
The firm questionnaire
Subs answer once as a firm, with a construction add-on: safety record (EMR), bonding, retainage and site practices.
Both records count
GCs answer "Invoiced accurately?" about subs; subs answer "Paid on time?" about GCs. How it works
The project fee
Flat, by the contract value you post. Charged only when the work is awarded and the other side confirms.
| Item | Fee, paid by the hiring side |
|---|---|
| $2,500 to $9,999 | $99 |
| $10,000 to $49,999 | $249 |
| $50,000 to $249,999 | $499 |
| $250,000 to $999,999 | $999 |
| $1 million and up | $1,999 |
Free for repeat projects between the same two parties. Refunded if the project is cancelled before work starts. Doers never pay.
Questions
Which licenses are checked?
The ones the listing requires, from the license list (electrician, plumber, PE and others). A license entered with its number counts; verification adds a badge.
Can a GC require insurance and bonding?
Yes. Each takes one of five levels on the listing. Required ones are checked before you see a card.
Who pays the fee?
The GC or owner posting the work, when it's awarded and confirmed. Subs never pay.
