Group nights

A small group, one evening a week.

Some people would rather meet a few at once. Each area has a weekly group night. Sign up, and we form groups of four to eight people where everyone is a good friend match for everyone else.

Free to join. Works in your browser and on iPhone.

How a group night works

  1. Tap I'm in this week

Sign-ups close two days before the evening, so groups can be formed and plans made.

  2. Get your group

Usually six people, up to eight. Every pair in the group passes the same checks as a one-on-one friend match.

  3. Vote on the activity

Each member ranks the ideas and can veto one. Volunteers take booking and tickets.

  4. Meet up

Trivia, a board-game café, a cave tour or a walking tour. Afterward, a private review shapes next week's groups.

Why small groups

Everyone fits

We don't drop strangers together. The people hardest to place are seated first, so groups work for everyone.

Lower pressure

No one has to carry a conversation alone. It's a good first step for people new to an area.

Same safety as one-on-one

Age confirmed before you join, public places, and the same reporting and blocking tools.

Questions

How big are the groups?

Four to eight people. Most groups are filled to six and topped up to eight when there are enough sign-ups.

What if I'm not placed this week?

The app tells you, and you'll be among the first placed next week.

When do group nights start in my city?

Each area starts with one evening a week once enough members have joined, and adds evenings as it grows.
